Green Form ~ letting nature work

Greenform offers in-person and online courses designed to increase knowledge about green building and sustainability. We develop and organize educational programs, workshops and seminars that meet the needs and interests of your organization, from generic overviews to specific insights. As part of that development process we suggest topics that relate to regional best practices. Examples of past seminar and workshop topics include the following:

  • Green Building Best Practices
  • Sustainabilty and your organization
  • Daylighting
  • Building Simulation
  • Energy Modeling and LEED
  • Green Building and the Law
  • Contractors Seminar

Most recently Greenform developed and delivered the "Southwest Region Green Building Best Practices & LEED LA" at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and the Southern California Gas Company energy center (ERC). This 6-hour per day seminar series taught over the course of three days was developed for the City of Los Angeles and for the So Cal Gas customer. The content was developed as an introduction to the southwest regional aspects of sustainability and the LEED program. This series has been delivered to groups that range from 50 to 100 people. The intention of the series are three-fold: 1) to educate on best practices in green building design that are particular to the southwest region using local case studies, 2) to embolden the design and construction community with information on green building design and construction and LEED, and 3) to demystify LEED by reviewing the comprehensive list of LEED letter templates.
